POSITION SUMMARY:
- Reports to the Sous Chef/Dining Services Director.
- Responsible for the provision of highquality dining services and food production, taking into account resident preferences and dietary considerations.
- Compliance with all applicable local and state health department regulations, as well as facilitywide NYS Department of Health regulations and requirements are essential priorities.
- Demonstrates ability to lead, assist, train, and oversee both back of house and front of house positions.
- Demonstrates competence in all aspects of cookery, to include saute, braise, broil, vegetables, roasting, saucier, garde mange, and baking.
- Respectful, pleasant, and outgoing personality is a must!
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of three years of cooking and two years supervisory experience
- Culinary arts degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively through numerous mediums
