The Pine Grove Area School District is seeking an experienced, student-centered educational leader to serve as the next High School Principal. This individual will play a critical role in fostering a culture of academic excellence, positive school climate, and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of high school operations, including curriculum implementation, student achievement, personnel supervision, school safety, extra-curriculars, and community engagement. This leader will be expected to build strong relationships with students, families, and staff, promote effective communication, and cultivate a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning and extra-curricular environment.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the development and implementation of a rigorous, relevant, and innovative instructional program
- Use multiple data sources to drive continuous school improvement and increase student achievement
- Supervise and evaluate staff while promoting professional growth and instructional excellence
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school climate
- Ensure effective and consistent student discipline practices
- Oversee building operations, including scheduling, safety, and extracurricular programs
- Strengthen partnerships with families, community members, and local organizations
- Expand college, career, and technical pathways for students
Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania Secondary Principal Certification
- Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of successful secondary teaching experience; administrative experience preferred
- Demonstrated success in instructional leadership and school improvement efforts
- Strong understanding of Pennsylvania standards, assessment systems, and regulations
- Proven ability to analyze and use data to inform decisions and improve outcomes
- Experience promoting innovation in teaching and learning
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships and collaborative teams
Terms of Employment:
- Twelve-month work year.
- Act 93 Management Team – Level I
