Machinist

**OVERALL PURPOSE**

This position is responsible to perform and operate engineered equipment and adhere to good machining practices.

This position is required to conduct business in a professional and cordial manner that will uphold the integrity and reputation of Pine Electronics. This position maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to the policies, regulations, and procedures of Pine Electronics.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

• Produce precision parts, while maintaining tight tolerance to specifications
• Operate CNC Lathe
• Operate CNC Vertical Mill
• Operate Manual Lathe
• Operate machine shop equipment including saws, drill press, grinder, sheet metal shear and sheet metal brake
• Maintain machine and equipment cleanliness along with following preventative maintenance standards
• Inspect and document work using precision measuring instruments and reports to ensure that parts are produced in conformance to specifications
  
  

**OTHER DUTIES**

• General material movement to maintain production
• Longer run-times may allow for sawing, drill or sheet metal operations
• Operate forklift as needed for material movement

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING**

• HS Diploma or GED required
  
  

**WORK-RELATED KNOWLEDGE**

• Knowledge of CNC Lathe programming, setup and operation including G Codes and operational edits to existing CNC programs
• Knowledge of CNC vertical milling machine programing, setup and operation including G codes and operational edits to existing CNC programs
• Knowledge of reading and interpreting prints with an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance Standards (GD&T)
• Knowledge of manufacturing Quality Management (QMS) / ISO 9000 standard
