Located 11 miles from downtown Boston in Weston Massachusetts, Pine Brook Country Club enjoys a reputation as one of the finest private clubs in Massachusetts. Pine Brook offers a challenging, beautifully maintained 18-hole golf course. The Horticulturist is an integral part of the Pine Brook team, ensuring the landscaping is maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working, dependable, team player.

Additional Information: We are seeking a SEASONAL part-time horticulturist who will work approximately 30-40 hours/week (Monday – Friday). Pay range at $28-$30/hour. If interested, email resume to tharrison@pbccma.com or apply through Indeed. Please no phone calls.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with landscape maintenance, restoration, and design
• Install and cultivate functional and ornamental plants
• Transplant and prune shrubs and small trees
• Weed landscape beds and assist with mulching
• Identify and treat potential pests or diseases
• Provide plant care advice to other staff members
• Other landscape maintenance as directed by the Superintendent

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in horticulture or a related field (or associate degree and equivalent experience)
• Certification through the ASHS a plus
• Experience in landscaping or working with various types of plants (3-5 years preferred)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable working outside in various weather conditions

Required Skills:

• Ability to perform heavy physical work; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently, and up to 15 pounds constantly, performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling and lifting.

Required Work Habits:

• Regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability and promptness.

Working Conditions:

• Works primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
