Plant Maintenance / Mechanic – Sivells Bend, Texas

Pine Bluff Materials in Sivells Bend, Texas is currently recruiting a Plant Maintenance Technician / Mechanic to join our operations team. The candidate selected for this role will report to the Sivells Bend location on a daily basis.

Position Overview

The Plant Maintenance Technician / Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment used in sand processing operations. This role ensures the plant operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime by maintaining crushers, conveyors, pumps, screens, and other production equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Lubricate, adjust, and calibrate machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and part usage.
• Monitor equipment condition and report potential issues before failures occur.
• Assist with maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and emergency response drills.
• Ensure that all repairs and modifications comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with plant startups and shutdowns.
• Support equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications.
• Perform general labor or operational tasks when needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems, welding, hydraulics, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to operate maintenance tools, cutting torches, welders, grinders, and lifts safely.
• Experience with conveyors, crushers, and rotating equipment highly preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors and lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred

• Prior experience in industrial sand, aggregates, mining, or dredge-based extraction systems.
• Welding experience is a plus.
