Shift:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Status:
Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt
Position Purpose:
The HR Generalist is responsible for coordinating and supporting day‑to‑day human resources operations across multiple functional areas, including recruitment, on boarding (including non-employed contract workers), employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, orientation and training. This role also supports the HR Director in implementing HR policies and procedures and contributes to the ongoing development and improvement of HR programs, processes, and employee relations initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Recruitment, placement and onboarding/orientation of new employees.
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining proper records for employees leaves of absences including workers' compensation and FMLA.
- Reviews and tracks all performance evaluations and calculates applicable merit increases
- Coordinates employee IDES (IL Dept. of Employment Security) claims for unemployment benefits.
- Assist and support payroll functions including .
- Maintains all personnel records including personnel and benefits transaction in payroll system.
- Track and verify all licenses/certifications.
- Follows all company policies and procedures and routinely evaluates/updates Human Resources related policies and procedures
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree at a minimum with emphasis in HR Management, Business Administration or related field.
Requirements:
- 2 years of Human Resources experience required (preferably in healthcare).
- Computer skills in a Windows environment (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Experience using Paycom HR/Payroll Software a plus.
- Excellent written, verbal, and critical thinking skills.
- Detail oriented,
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Broad understanding of HR and Payroll fundamentals, including applicable federal and state employment laws
- Strong decision making, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Proficient with general office equipment
- Strong customer service skills
- Accuracy and thoroughness in all work
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.50 - $36.13 per hour
