Pinchin is seeking an Industrial Hygienist to join our HAZ team in St. Louis, MO. The role reports to the Director.
HAZ Overview
The Industrial Hygienist Specialist will support environmental health and safety project through fieldwork, inspections, sampling and data collection. This role involves conducting assessments for water, asbestos-containing materials, lead, hazardous materials, indoor air quality, and fungal conditions. The employee will assist with abatement oversight, air monitoring, and the coordination and completion of site inspections. They will produce clear and detailed site notes that contribute to high-quality technical reports. Success in this role requires strong organization, effective communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. The employee will also be responsible for upholding safety standards, following corporate policies, and completing other related duties as assigned.

Your Role and Action as Industrial Hygienist Specialist
- Conduct various field tasks including soil, water, asbestos-containing material (ACM) inspections and sampling, AHERA inspections, lead and hazardous materials inspections, and indoor air quality and fungal assessments
- Building inspections and material sampling, data collection and evaluation.
- Asbestos abatement oversight and air monitoring.
- Coordinate and complete site inspections.
- Produce organized and detailed site visit notes that will be incorporated into high-quality technical reports.
- Task management and coordination, client interaction, and data management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Follow, enforce, and maintain corporate policies and procedures.

- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental field is recommended but not required.
- Missouri Licensed Asbestos Inspector preferred.
- Missouri Licensed Air Sampling Technician (AST) or Professional (ASP) preferred.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER preferred.
- 0-3 years of consulting experience or relevant field experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong writing and documentation skills
- Ability to read technical specifications, drawings, and reports
- Valid driver’s license with access to a reliable vehicle. Work-related travel is compensated.
- Availability to work outside core business hours. Overtime is a requirement of the position.
- Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical.
- Ability to adhere to a Medical Surveillance Program to be able to wear respiratory protection.
