Crime Victim Compensation Board Member - Volunteer

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Pinal County Crime Victim Compensation Board Members review and determine if eligibility requirements were met on victim claims for reimbursement of crime-related expenses that are a direct result of a violent crime. The volunteer, after successfully completing the required training is expected to have a thorough understanding of the program rules, ability to read and comprehend board packets and participate in the monthly board meeting. Monthly board meetings run approximately one to two hours. Due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the information, the volunteer must be able to maintain confidentiality. The volunteer is expected to exercise discretion in the application of policies, procedures, and guidelines of the program. The position is under the supervision of the PCAO Victim Compensation Coordinator.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Must reside in Pinal County.
• Must be a minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age, a United Stated citizen or legal resident.
• Must successfully pass and complete background examination.
• Able to read details of crimes.
• Must have access to reliable internet (all meetings are virtual).
• Have an email address.
• Have access to a computer, tablet or smartphone.
• Able to navigate software programs such as Google Drive.
