Overview
Your certified court reporter status will aid the Superior Court in creating access to justice. You'll perform complex work of considerable difficulty in the verbatim stenographic recording and transcribing of court and legal proceedings to document and produce verbatim records of verbal and nonverbal activities.
TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Records all court proceedings verbatim by use of specialized equipment
- Catalogs and files stenographic notes and transcripts
- Prepares and certifies transcripts
- Reads back testimony from stenographic notes as requested
- Replies to correspondence relating to transcripts of proceedings
- Performs other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK
- A High School diploma, or equivalent G.E.D. certificate; and
- Two (2) years of professional experience as a court reporter; and
- Must be certified by the Arizona Supreme Court pursuant to ARS 32-4021 at time of application.
- Arizona residents must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License upon hire; newly established Arizona Residents must have one within 30 days of hire.
Special Requirements
- Will be required to successfully complete a background check.
- Court Reporter certification must be maintained as a condition of employment.
Pay: $45,969.00 - $58,611.00 per year
