What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Assembly Technician position at Pinacle Technology?
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Electrical Assembly Technician, you will:
- Perform soldering in accordance with IPC-J-STD on printed circuit boards, printed wire boards, and circuit card assemblies both through hole and surface mount applications.
- Assemble chassis and final units using circuit cards, wire harnesses, soldering/crimping tools, and precision instruments.
- Perform high-reliability soldering and crimping on complex sub-assemblies, including board-level repairs and jumper wire installations.
- Work with multi-pin connectors and assemblies to meet stringent government and customer specs.
- Interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and electronic work instructions.
- Follow ESD protocols and maintain certification standards for high-reliability soldering.
- Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot, rework, and improve testing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and traceability documentation for controlled programs.
To be considered for this role, typically you’ll bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent formal training.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical assembly and soldering.
- Expertise in crimping, medical device assembly, board-level repair, and electronic units.
- Familiarity with J-STD, IPC 610/620 standards, and torque/crimping tools.
It’s a plus if you have:
- NASA 8739 soldering certification.
- Experience with avionics components (e.g., circuit card rework, coating, installation).
- Ability to read and work directly from engineering drawings.
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
