Position Summary
Hours Per Week: Up to 19.5 hours per week

Rate of Pay: $19.58/hour
The Administrative Assistant 2 performs a variety of office support duties and customer service functions for an assigned department. Provides a variety of information for program offerings to the college community and to the public. Performs a full range of advanced clerical and office support duties, including but not limited to data entry and manage reports for the Outreach and Recruitment team. Additional support to the Outreach & Recruitment team, including but not limited to phone calls and emails to prospective students through call projects and enrollment campaigns.
About Temporary Employment
This position has 1 vacant position and will establish a qualified applicant pool for part-time temporary positions. Applications will remain active for 6 months to a year and selected candidates may be contacted as positions become available or when immediate staffing needs arise. Placement in the pool does not guarantee employment. The applicant pool will be refreshed annually.
Temporary applicants may be hired for specific assignments or placed in an applicant pool for future opportunities, depending on enrollment levels and business needs. If selected from this pool of applicants, candidates contacted will receive details regarding the specific assignment and will have the opportunity to confirm interest and availability.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides general information and services to students and the general public relating to College inquiries and requests for information in areas including admissions, registration, new student orientation, assessment, and testing
- Handles a high volume of incoming calls to the college
- Provides advanced office support to staff and assists Outreach and Recruitment team by directing phone calls; reviews and responds to emails; spreadsheets and reports
- Serves as first point-of contact for inquiries, assists students, the public, staff, and faculty in solving routine problems related to College student services and associated programs
- Answers a high volume of calls and email inquiries from prospective students pertaining to information about attending Pima Community College. Refers students to the correct College department for further assistance
- Assists students with issues relating to registration and financial matters
- Assists with office coverage and special projects
- Provide outreach to prospective students as needed through special projects and initiatives at the college
- Entry level data upload in CRM
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
- Self Motivated
- High school diploma or GED
- One (1) to Three (3) years of related experience providing technology general office support
- An equivalent combination of certification, education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Associates Degree/Vocational or technical training in office management
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and practices
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of internal and external customer service principles and practices
- Knowledge and application of organizational and time management principles
- Skill in effective communication (both written and oral)
- Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
- Skill in positive, productive and flexible customer service
- Ability to adapt and maintain professional composure in emergent and crisis situations
- Ability to apply effective and accurate data entry and typing skills
- Ability to develop and maintain effective and positive working relationships
