Position Summary
The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and processing merchandise, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the retail store. This role ensures merchandise is properly stocked, tracked, and displayed, while providing exceptional customer service and supporting retail operations in accordance with store policies and procedures at all three locations of the Arizona Aerospace Foundation; Pima Air and Space Museum, Titan Missile Museum and Tucson Military Vehicle Museum.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inventory Management: Coordinate with the Retail Manager to conduct quarterly and annual inventory counts of merchandise, supplies, and equipment.
- Merchandise Oversight: Assist in organizing store displays, merchandising, restocking, and ensuring merchandise codes are current and accurate.
- POS and Inventory Systems: Receive merchandise, print labels, tag products, and update inventory in the POS system.
- Stockroom and Receiving: Maintain a neat and orderly stockroom and shipping/receiving areas; process shipments from UPS, FedEx, USPS, and other delivery services.
- Order Fulfillment: Manage shipping and processing of e-commerce and external retail merchandise orders.
- Store Operations Support: Assist with day-to-day store operations in the absence of the Retail Manager, including opening/closing procedures, cashier operations, and maintaining floor organization.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service to visitors and customers, including assisting on the sales floor and processing sales transactions.
- Event Support: Work during special events, contracted events, or seasonal needs, including evenings and weekends.
- Policy Compliance: Adhere to all Foundation or store policies, procedures, and loss prevention practices.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or retail/business coursework preferred.
- Previous retail or inventory management experiences are strongly preferred.
- Experience using POS systems and inventory software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and special events.

Work Schedule
- Schedule includes weekends.
- Days off are typically during the week: Tuesday, Wednesday, or Wednesday–Thursday.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
