Position Summary
The Electrician provides operational support for the infrastructure needs throughout the PWS South Texas and East Texas assets. This individual has experience with primary and secondary power systems starting with transmission systems and dealing with localized electrical systems. Voltage class is in the low and medium voltage platforms and includes DC systems. The individual also has experience in PMEs, OCBs, MCCs, transformers -pole and pad, VFD drives, motors, batteries, and access systems. Must be a self - motivated individual with a strong work ethic. Compensation commensurate with experience. This position reports functionally to the Sr Operations Manager out of our Kenedy, Texas office.

Essential Job Duties
- Identifying, Installing, troubleshooting, and repairing of equipment and electrical faults/systems
- Read blueprints and wiring schematics
- Installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays and circuit- breaker panels, and fastens in place with crews or bolts using hand or power tools
- Communicate with customers in a professional, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability
- Replaces boards in drives, fuses, and maintains PME.
- Troubleshoots motor issues.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Complies with all safety and Company policies and procedures.
- Abides by Company policy in accurate time tracking, and adheres to provided schedule, subject to change with business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent such as a GED.
- Must be 18 years of age
- Minimum of 3 years of electrical field experience
- Drive experience, access system experience
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong Communication, organizational and Technical Skills
- Must hold a valid driver's license, be able to safely operate a Company-issued motor vehicle and be deemed insurable by the Company's insurance provider as a contingency of continued employment.
- Journeyman Electrician certification
- Master Electrician certification
- Minimum of 5 years electrical of oil and gas field experience
- Drive experience, Access System experience
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds (line locator) in awkward positions and can lift 75 pounds (box of flags) from floor to waist, occasionally.
- Must be able to walk, stand, and otherwise navigate uneven, rural terrain.
- May be exposed to loud noises, occupational hazards, and/or other outdoor elements.
