Essential Job Duties
- Monitors multiple facilities and pipelines from the control center utilizing SCADA information.
- Participates in planning, scheduling, and implementing facility operations.
- Performs remote operations to facilities and pipelines, monitoring product flows and pressures, starting and shutting down pumps, opening and closing valves and setting flow rates.
- Works closely with various departments to execute schedules and operational plans safely and efficiently.
- Monitors performance against targets and addresses areas of improvement.
- Recognizes emergency conditions, works calmly and efficiently to resolve issues.
- Communicates effectively with field operators to provide troubleshooting support and maintenance.
- Prepares operational reports and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Follows protocols and regulations accurately.
- Perform onsite field support as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent such as a GED
- Must be 18 years of age.
- At least 1 year in a control room setting.
- At least 1 year of oil and gas experience.
- Must have a valid state issued driver’s license and driving record within good standing.
- Must possess a strong commitment to safety.
- Work a minimum 12-hour rotating shift that includes weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with SCADA systems.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
- 2 years in a pipeline controller position.
- Standard office environment.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to operate a company vehicle and qualify for company insurance.
- Standard office environment with occasional time in the field.
