Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Estimator based in Portsmouth, NH. The Estimator will prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, analyze project plans and documentation, and collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers. Duties will include collecting relevant project data, sourcing pricing from vendors and subcontractors, and assist Project Manager with project schedule development and subcontract buy-outs. The Estimator will play a key role in optimizing costs while ensuring adherence to project requirements.
Qualifications
· Experience with project costing, budgeting, and estimating for construction projects.
· Proficient in reading and analyzing architectural and engineering plans and documentation.
· Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
· Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building standards.
· Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work seamlessly with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
· Proficiency in Procore, Excel, Word, Bluebeam software.
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively.
· A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
· Minimum of (4) years of experience in bidding large-scale wood framed projects
· Hands on experience in the field is considered a plus.
