Pillar4 Media is seeking a Post Graduate Intern for Public Relations to join its fast-growing team in Charlotte, NC.
To be eligible for this role, you must complete your Bachelor's degree in Spring 2026.
As a member of the PR team, this role supports the day-to-day execution of Pillar4 Media's PR efforts across media outreach, expert positioning, and trend-driven opportunities. You'll gain hands-on experience working on real campaigns, media relationships, and performance tracking during a 10-week program, with the opportunity to transition into a full-time role based on performance.

What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the PR Manager, the PR Intern will:
- Monitor news, trends, and media coverage to identify timely PR opportunities and support reactive outreach
- Assist in managing media requests and coordinating expert commentary for journalists and opportunities
- Support the development and execution of outreach efforts, including media list building, pitching, and follow-ups
- Help draft press materials, pitches, and messaging that align with brand voice and campaign goals
- Contribute to campaign execution, including seasonal initiatives, data-driven stories, and brand projects
- Maintain PR trackers and assist in reporting on placements, backlinks, and overall performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with PR, SEO, Editorial, and Social teams to support broader marketing initiatives
- Assist in identifying and engaging with relevant conversations across social and emerging platforms to expand brand visibility
- Support ongoing team projects and administrative tasks as needed
- Draft press releases, pitches, and tailored outreach emails
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or related field (recent graduate preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to write clearly, concisely, and in a way that captures attention
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working in Google Sheets and managing trackers
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in media, journalism, digital PR, and trends
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take ownership
- Internship or coursework experience in PR, communications, marketing, or journalism
- Familiarity with media databases or tools like HARO or Qwoted
- Interest in health, fitness, sleep, or wellness industries
- Understanding of SEO, backlinks, or digital media (not required, but a plus)
- Openness to feedback and collaboration: You'll be working closely with folks across different teams, so you'll need to be open to the process and accept feedback and critique.
- Strong communication skills: You'll have the ability to build relationships with external stakeholders, report up to internal stakeholders, and foster strong alignment with your team.
