Swim Instructor / Swim Coach (Part-Time, Flexible, 1099) – Kailua, HI (Windward Oʻahu)

Pili Kai Swim School is hiring a Swim Instructor / Swim Coach in Kailua and Windward Oʻahu.

We provide private, mobile swim lessons focused on water safety, confidence, and skill development for keiki and families across Oʻahu.

This is a flexible, part-time opportunity and if wanted possible full-time opportunity ideal for experienced swim instructors, coaches, or anyone with a strong aquatics and childhood education background.

About the Role

• Teach private and semi-private swim lessons (kids & occasional adults)
• Focus on water safety, beginner swim skills, and stroke development
• Work with a range of students, including young children and sometimes adults
• Lessons held at residential pools and community pools
• Travel locally within your assigned area

Service Area

Kailua / Windward Oʻahu
(Kailua, Lanikai, Waimānalo, Kāneʻohe)

Applicants should live nearby or be willing to commute to this area.

Compensation

• Competitive per-lesson pay ($22- $40/ lesson)
• Revenue-share model (1099 independent contractor)

Qualifications

• Experience as a swim instructor, swim coach, lifeguard, or aquatics professional preferred
• Comfortable teaching children (toddlers to teens)
• CPR/AED & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable transportation
• Professional, punctual, and strong communication skills
• Ability to obtain liability insurance (we guide you through this)
