What are the responsibilities and job description for the CROSSING GUARD position at Pilgrim Security and Consulting LLC?
Pilgrim Security and Consulting is a full service security guard company that offers a complete line of executive protection, event security, and transportation services. We are one of the largest 24/7 security firms in Massachusetts, capable of protecting anywhere in the Commonwealth.
As a Crossing Guard on our team, you will assist in crossing children from preschool through high school age, stop traffic for buses, and remain a happy face for staff, students, and families.
The following is required and not limited to:
* Provide crossing services at the facility while complying with stringent company regulations
* Have efficient and concise communication
* Be able to stand for an hour at a time
* Assist pedestrians crossing while being aware of surroundings
* Maintain good judgement when stopping traffic for buses and children
* Complete reports by recording observations, information, and occurrences
REQUIREMENTS:
Must hold a High School Diploma/GED; a minimum of 1 year experience in the security field or graduate of accredited security-related program (i.e. criminal justice degree, security training programs, CPR Certification, SPO training, SSPO, etc.) and available to work weekdays in the morning and afternoons.
Must be able to read, write legibly, understand, and follow verbal and written English instruction. Possess good customer and relations skills. Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with Crossing Guard peers, other employees, the public, and work independently using good judgment and common sense. Prefer previous security experience in a healthcare or hospital environment. Prior *Military, Law enforcement, or Teaching preferred*
