What You’ll Do
- Prepare baked goods for daily dining service and special functions.
- Assist with food preparation for resident meals as needed.
- Maintain accurate production records for baked items.
- Help with inventory, ordering, receiving deliveries, stock rotation, and storage organization.
- Follow and adapt recipes based on daily meal counts and dietary needs.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation, including HACCP principles.
- Clean and organize kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
- Assist with meal service and kitchen cleanup following proper procedures.
- Complete laundry assignments as needed.
- Communicate with kitchen leadership and team members regarding daily operations.
- Support special events, meetings, and departmental initiatives.
- Practice safe work habits and proper use of kitchen/sanitation equipment.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2–4 years of baking or food service experience preferred, ideally in healthcare, hospitality, or senior living
- Ability to read and follow recipes, production sheets, labels, and written instructions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Dependable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts
- Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and teamwork
