Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of industrial machinery to produce high-quality components and products efficiently and safely. Your expertise in machine operation, technical troubleshooting, and precision measurement will contribute to the seamless flow of our production processes. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor various manufacturing machines such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brakes, stamping presses, and flexo presses to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents to accurately produce parts according to specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy and ensure quality standards are met.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues on industrial equipment promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Follow safety standards rigorously while handling materials, operating machinery, and performing maintenance tasks.
- Assist with materials handling, tooling setup, packaging finished products, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly line tasks and support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming, CAM programming, and interpreting G-code for machining operations.
- Experience with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems.
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints and interpret complex technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of shop math including basic calculations for measurements and tolerances (GD&T).
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and height gauges.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment troubleshooting and basic repair procedures.
- Strong understanding of safety standards in manufacturing environments and adherence to safety protocols.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse handling equipment is a plus.
- SolidWorks or CAD experience is advantageous for understanding design specifications.
- Ability to work efficiently on fabrication tasks involving stamping presses or CNC machining processes.
- Basic math skills necessary for quality control measurements and production documentation interpretation.
