Physical Requirements
This position requires regular standing, walking, sitting, talking, reading, and hearing. The employee will frequently operate industrial washers, dryers, and related laundry/housekeeping equipment.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

What You'll Do
- Ensure an adequate supply of clean linen is available for the proper care and comfort of residents.
- Maintain linens in good repair and remove items with holes, stains, or other damage from service.
- Collect resident laundry daily or as needed.
- Label clothing for new residents as needed.
- Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens.
- Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.
- Follow all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry services.
- Maintain an appropriate inventory of laundry supplies.
- Operate industrial washers, dryers, and related equipment safely.
- Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and sanitary.
- Report equipment problems or maintenance concerns to the Administrator.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry and housekeeping procedures.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and seek assistance when needed.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- One year of laundry, housekeeping, environmental services, healthcare, or related experience.
