As a Laundry Aide, you will play an essential role in maintaining a clean, sanitary environment by ensuring all linens and resident clothing are properly cleaned, organized, and delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold resident laundry and facility linens
- Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is always available
- Deliver clean clothing and linens to resident rooms
- Inspect linens and remove damaged or stained items from service
- Label resident clothing as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area
- Follow infection control and sanitation procedures
- Safely operate laundry equipment and handle cleaning supplies
- Monitor inventory and report supply needs
- Report equipment issues to leadership promptly
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 1 year of laundry or housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Dependable and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Compassionate and respectful toward residents
