We are seeking an experienced and organized Business Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of a skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee resident billing, accounts receivable, collections, and cash posting
- Manage Medicare, Medicaid, private-pay, and insurance billing processes
- Verify resident financial information and maintain accurate account records
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Assist residents and families with billing questions and financial paperwork
- Coordinate closely with the Administrator, admissions team, corporate office, and department leaders
- Process accounts payable, deposits, and other business office transactions
- Support payroll and employee-related administrative functions as needed
- Maintain compliance with company policies and all applicable state and federal regulations
- Protect confidential resident, employee, and financial information
- Previous business office, billing, or accounts receivable experience in a skilled nursing facility is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private-pay billing
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare billing or accounting software
- A professional, compassionate approach when working with residents, families, and team members
