Key Responsibilities
- Lead group activities including arts and crafts, music, games, and discussion groups.
- Conduct one-on-one visits with residents who cannot attend group events.
- Assist in planning monthly activity calendars and decorating the facility for holidays.
- Set up activity rooms and transport residents safely to and from events.
- Document resident participation and progress according to regulatory guidelines.
- Encourage and motivate residents to maintain their hobbies and social connections.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing, assisted living, or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Outgoing personality with a passion for serving the elderly population.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or holidays as needed.
