We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver to join our dynamic moving transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to deliver members household goods efficiently and on time. Your expertise in commercial driving, and vehicle handling will ensure smooth logistics operations. Duties
- Safely operate trucks with manual and automatic transmissions, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, box trucks and other specialized vehicles.
- Pack, Load and unload household goods efficiently using appropriate equipment such as dollies, ramps and pallet jacks when necessary.
- Execute route driving plans accurately while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Transport goods across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
- Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs, safety issues, and compliance with company standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in truck driving or commercial driving roles with a focus on household good delivery.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating trucks with manual transmissions is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with operating box trucks, flatbeds and semi-trucks is highly desirable.
- Ability to pack, load & unload household goods safely using appropriate equipment or other tools.
- Knowledge of route planning and navigation for efficient pickup and delivery execution.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to trucking operations and vehicle maintenance.
- Physical ability to handle packing/loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road.
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
