Quality Control Technician

What can you expect:

• Starting at $23.00/hour or more depending on experience, with a $10.00/hour shift differential.
• OT after 8 hours.
• Annual increase potential.

What you will do:

• Gather samples of material for testing, conducting field testing, monitoring density, and HMA placement.
• Work with the paving crew to achieve quality results and consistency.
• Work with asphalt plant and crushing crews to achieve quality results and consistency.
• Generate reports and submit them to necessary personnel.
• Experience in asphalt and aggregate testing is preferred, NETTCP certification is a plus.
• Work in the Central Lab learning the Binding and Aggregate testing process
• • Samples
    • Receive and identify samples under direct supervision of a binder specialist, secondary, primary or laboratory manager
    • Log, store and maintain samples under direct supervision of a binder specialist, secibndary, primary or laboratory manager
    • Process samples, record review and report test results under direct supervision of a binder specialist, secondary, primary or laboratory manager
  • Equipment- under direction of the binder specialist, secondary, primart or laboratory manager will have the responsibility to see that:
    • All equipment has been checked and/or calibrated or standardized as described in section D before used
    • All equipment, not to meet the specifications for that equipment, is removed from service and marked as such as described in section D
  • Personnel
    • The trainee will work under the direct supervision of a binder specialist, secondary, primary or laboratory manager
