Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install windows, doors, and fixtures.
- Measure dimensions precisely using tools such as tape measures and levels to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Handle glass materials safely during transportation, cutting, fabrication, and installation processes.
- Use hand tools and power tools to install window frames, trim carpentry components, metal studs, and other structural elements.
- Install glass materials securely using caulking, glazing techniques, and fixture installation methods for optimal insulation and durability.
- Perform heavy lifting of window units, glass panels, and construction materials while maintaining safety protocols.
- Conduct quality control checks to verify measurements align with specifications and ensure proper sealing with caulking or weatherproofing techniques.
Requirements
- Proven construction experience with a focus on window installation or related carpentry work.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings confidently.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Experience handling glass materials safely during fabrication and installation processes.
- Knowledge of construction practices and ability to interpret construction plans accurately.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, working at heights, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with measuring (quality control), caulking techniques, door hanging, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, fixture installation, cabinetry work, remodeling projects, and construction painting is highly desirable.
