Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care.
- Operate POS systems such as Square to process sales accurately and efficiently.
- Greet customers warmly, take orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities, including cash register operations and balancing cash drawers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in all food preparation areas, adhering to proper food handling protocols.
- Assist in food preparation tasks to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred.
- Experience with POS systems such as Square is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
