Human Resources- Regional Business Manager

Summary: The Regional Business Manager provides strategic guidance and support across key human resources and business functions. This role is responsible for advising on employee relations, overseeing performance management practices, supporting training and development initiatives, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and employment regulations, and utilizing data analysis to drive informed business decisions. By aligning people strategies with organizational objectives, the Regional Business Manager helps create a compliant, productive, and high-performing workplace across the business.

Essential Job Functions (Duties & Responsibilities)

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Support recruiting and hiring efforts for assigned locations.
  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions.
  • Manage employee files to ensure compliance and accuracy of records.
  • Employee Relations & Lifecycle Management

  • Support in disciplinary actions, terminations, and layoffs for assigned locations.
  • Process employee terminations across applicable systems and portals (Paychex, BCBS, Delta Dental, Health Equity, COBRA, The Hartford, etc.).
  • Work with management and employees to improve relationships, increase morale, and promote retention and productivity.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture by organizing appreciation events.
  • Compensation & Benefits Administration
  • Oversee and manage branch payroll consolidation for Saint Marys, and Ridgway locations.
  • Manage new hire benefits enrollment including medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, critical illness, and hospital indemnity programs for assigned locations
  • Administer and manage branch leave of absence programs, including FMLA, LOA, Workers’ Compensation, ShortTerm Disability, and LongTerm Disability.
  • Training & Development
  • Deliver employee orientation training and other training and/or retraining as requested by General Management or Senior Leadership. Lead or assist with the management of training needs and tracking of training records, matrices and metrics.
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Serve as the site EHS liaison between employees and Senior Leadership.
  • HR Projects & Strategic Support

  • Execute HR projects and initiatives in collaboration with colleagues to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Support the HR team in reviewing, updating, and implementing HR policies and practices.
  • Assist with executing locationspecific strategic initiatives as directed by the HR Manager and the Executive Team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall HR and organizational objectives.
  • Schedule:

    Perform the listed responsibilities at both Ridgway and St. Marys facilities with St. Marys as the primary and at least 20% of time allotted on-site in Ridgway

    Requirements (Qualifications & Skills)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, organizational management or related field
  • Experience Required: Minimum of five years of office managementrelated experience.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with all levels.
  • Physical Demands: Includes prolonged sitting, walking between plants, heavy phone activity.
  • Environment:
  • General office setting, but some time spent in plant operations may include

  • exposure to noise, heat and fumes, etc.
  • Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and be selfdirected.
  • Proven ability to influence and consult with senior leadership
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR practices
  • Coaching and mentoring skills to develop talent
  • Conflict resolution and problemsolving abilities

Salary : $60,000 - $75,000
