We’re seeking a dedicated and proactive Assistant Food and Beverage Director to support the overall management of our culinary and dining operations at the War Eagle Supper Club inside the Graduate Hotel in Auburn, AL. As the Assistant Food and Beverage Director, you will work closely with the Food and Beverage Manager to ensure smooth, efficient food and beverage operations.
This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of food and beverage activities
- Support the management and development of the culinary and service teams
- Contribute to food preparation and presentation to maintain quality standards
- Collaborate with vendors and manage procurement of ingredients and supplies
- Assist in monitoring inventory levels, minimizing waste, and optimizing stock control
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary dining environment
- Participate in analyzing sales and customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Support the development and execution of marketing initiatives to promote food and beverage offerings
- Assist in administrative tasks, including budgeting, forecasting, inventory and financial reporting
- Stay informed about industry trends, new ingredients, and culinary techniques
Requirements and Skills
- Proven experience in a supervisory role in the food and beverage industry
- A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field is advantageous
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques, flavors, and food safety standards
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and other relevant technology
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of health and safety regulations in a dining setting
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed
