What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN), Non-Invasive Cardiology, Full Time, Days position at PIH Health Good Samaritan Hospital?
Responsible for performing safe and effective cardiac stress tests (i.e., treadmills, thallium treadmills, pharmacological stress tests, stress echocardiograms, pharmacologic stress echocardiograms); pacemaker checks; arrhythmia surveillance monitoring, prepare patients for and assist with diagnostic procedures, including Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs), cardioversions, tilt-table tests, and blood pressure monitoring on a given group of patients. Delivers individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments and the patient’s family. Complies with the California Nurse Practice Act, Article 2, Section 2725 of the Business and Professions Code.

- Knowledge and demonstrated skill using special equipment such as monitors, infusion pumps, temporary pacemakers, O2 equipment, SPO2 monitors, EKG machines, defibrillators, etc..

Required:
- Graduated from an approved School of Nursing.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in California.
- BCLS and ACLS certification.
- Evidence of continuing education and self-development
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in a Cardiovascular unit.
- Demonstrates teaching ability in a formal and/or informal setting.
- LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH only)
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Two-year experience in the ICU.
