Part Time Sales Associate

Pigment is a gift, design, and floral shop owned by husband-and-wife duo Chad Anglin and Amy Paul located in San Diego, CA. Founded in 2007, the store showcases local artists, offers well-designed and thoughtful merchandising, and features design savvy gifts, flora, and furniture. The shop has 3,000 square feet in space and has a heavy focus on the fundamentals of art and good design.

Role Description

We are seeking to hire full-time and part-time Sales Associates for our San Diego location in Del Mar.

As a Sales Associate at Pigment, you will be responsible for:

• Providing genuine and authentic customer service and ensuring that our customers have a positive shopping experience

• Assisting customers in making purchases and provide product information when necessary

• Day-to-day tasks associated with maintaining a clean and organized store, such as routine cleaning, restocking, standardizing, handling in-store pick up orders and product transfer

• Assist customers in making purchases and provide product information when necessary

• Instruct customers in planting succulent arrangements when needed

• Provide support to our 'Green Team' by helping with plant care tasks when necessary

• Offer support and assistance to fellow team members when needed during "All Hands on Deck" moments

• Aide in Pigment's effort to create a healthy, thriving work culture based on mutual respect, understanding and care for others

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail sales position preferred

• Strong customer service skills and ability to provide a positive shopping experience to customers

• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively and positively interact with a diverse range of customers and team members

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and to multitask efficiently

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Passion or interest in succulents and houseplants

• Must be willing to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) as well as throughout the holiday season

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, lift up to 30 pounds and be comfortable scaling a ladder

Wage Transparency

$18.00 - $25.00 Per Hour - Wage is determined by factors including skills, qualifications and previous work experience.
