- Role Purpose: The Guest Experience Associate is a versatile, guest-first role responsible for creating a warm, inspiring, and welcoming experience throughout the store—including the sales floor and Plant Lab. This role blends thoughtful customer connection, foundational plant care and education, and strong retail execution. Guest Experience Associates support plant health, visual standards, and daily store operations while embodying Pigment’s optimistic, inclusive, and community-centered spirit.
All Guest Experience Associates are “green”—engaged in plant learning, care, and storytelling—while working collaboratively to meet store goals and guest needs.

Guest Experience & Sales
- Greet and engage every guest with warmth and enthusiasm.
- Build genuine connections through thoughtful conversation, listening, and guidance.
- Offer approachable plant and product recommendations tailored to each guest’s needs and comfort level.
- Support store goals through attentive service, product knowledge, and engagement.
- Reinforce Pigment’s brand values and guest experience standards in every interaction.
Plant Care & Education
- Support daily plant care tasks including watering, grooming, visual checks, and general maintenance.
- Maintain strong foundational knowledge of plant care basics and continue learning through training and hands-on experience.
- Share plant knowledge confidently and accessibly with guests and teammates.
- Help maintain a welcoming, guest-ready Plant Lab experience for all knowledge levels.
- Monitor plant health and communicate concerns or needs to leadership.
Visual Standards & Store Operations
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal across the sales floor and Plant Lab.
- Support plant and product restocking, backstock organization, and delivery processing as needed.
- Follow visual standards to ensure displays feel fresh, intentional, and inspiring.
- Support daily operational tasks and step in where needed with a team-first mindset.
Team Support & Culture
- Collaborate across the store to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Support teammates during busy periods and shifting priorities.
- Participate actively in store initiatives, product education, and team learning.
- Be open to feedback and coaching as part of personal and team growth.
Performance Expectations
- Deliver consistently warm, thoughtful, and educational guest experiences.

Skills & Qualifications
- Prior retail, hospitality, or plant care experience preferred (but not required).
- Genuine interest in plants, learning, and guest connection.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods.
