Role Description

Pigment is a San Diego–based retail company specializing in plants, gifts, and thoughtfully curated goods. With 3 local shops supported by a central warehouse, we are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Delivery Driver & Warehouse Associate. The primary responsibility of this role is delivering product to our local retail stores, with additional support provided in warehouse receiving and operations.

This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys a mix of driving and hands-on warehouse work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Pay Range

$22.00 – $28.00 per hour

This range complies with California pay transparency requirements.

Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and business needs.

Roles and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility: Delivery

• Safely load, transport, and deliver merchandise from the warehouse to Pigment’s local retail stores
• Complete daily delivery routes accurately and on schedule
• Pick up plant inventory from local nurseries as needed
• Assist with unloading product at store locations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles
• Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly
• Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company procedures
• Represent Pigment professionally while on delivery routes

Secondary Responsibility: Warehouse Support

• Assist with receiving incoming shipments and verifying product accuracy
• Unpack, organize, and stage inventory for allocation to stores
• Pull and prepare product for deliveries
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Support general warehouse operations as needed

Schedule and Availability

This is a full-time position with two consistent schedule options available:

• Monday–Friday | 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
• Tuesday–Saturday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Flexibility is required during peak and holiday seasons. Outside of holiday periods, schedules remain consistent based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Driving record that meets company standards (to be verified through a motor vehicle record check)
• Comfortable driving company vehicles for local deliveries and pickups
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to approximately 50 lbs
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable with physical, hands-on work
• Warehouse, delivery, or retail experience preferred but not required
