Duties

• Prepare surfaces thoroughly by cleaning, sanding, caulking, plastering, drywall installation, and surface priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paint using various techniques including brush painting, roller painting, spray painting with conventional sprayers and construction spray equipment.
• Execute structural and renovation painting projects on diverse surfaces such as stucco, concrete, drywall, and fixtures.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete painting tasks with precision.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to accurately execute detailed painting plans aligned with project specifications.
• Maintain safety regulations by wearing respiratory protection and following strict safety protocols during all phases of work.
• Conduct surface preparation for industrial and commercial coatings, ensuring proper surface conditions for long-lasting finishes.
• Assist in remodeling and maintenance projects by installing fixtures or performing minor handyman tasks as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction painting, including residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings.
• Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as drywall finishing, plastering, caulking, stucco application, and concrete finishing.
• Familiarity with color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects and visual color comparisons for accurate matching.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), and scaffolding or ladders safely.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations related to construction site work and respiratory protection practices.
• Experience with renovation projects involving fixture installation or restoration work is a plus.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coating coverage and surface dimensions.
• Construction site experience including working on remodeling or maintenance projects is highly desirable.

Pay: $26.14 - $31.48 per hour
