SCOPE OF POSITION: Working under the direction of our Bakery Manager, assists manager with day-to-day department and staff coordination, direction, follow-through and customer relations functions. This is a hands-on position with the bulk of time spend on performing the varied duties and responsibilities of any and all Bakery Associate job functions within the department.

BASIC FUNCTION To ensure effective and efficient day to day Bakery operations, staff utilization, customer service, adherence to company and department policies, processes/procedures and motivation. Directly perform Bakery Associate job functions, as warranted.

Position Specific Requirements:

1.Previous experience in food preparation in a bakery environment desired.

2.Able to perform Bakery Operations, practices and procedures within a retail grocery-bakery environment.

3.Be self-directed, results oriented, project a positive business image and lead by example.

4.Good attention to detail and follow through skills.

5.Good customer relations skills.

6.Be able to meet department productivity, policy, standard operating procedures, quality and safety requirements.

7.Works efficiently with weights, measures, scales and tally unit product retail prices

8.Do basic computer entries required.

9.Operate department equipment in a safe and efficient manner. (Must be 18 years of age to operate certain department equipment.)

10.Work hours required. This includes flexible shift schedules, overtime and weekends required.

11.Work in physical environment with continuous exposure to cooler, water and meet Physical Requirements below.

12.Meet and maintain job productivity, attendance, punctuality, safety requirements and wear safety attire.
