Maintenance Technician (Residential & Commercail Property Management)

About the Position
We are a growing property management and real estate investment company seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. We self-perform most maintenance and renovation work on residential rental properties and are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in quality workmanship, and works well independently.
This is not a repetitive apartment maintenance position. Every day is different, and you'll work on a wide variety of repairs, renovations, and improvement projects.

Responsibilities
- Complete residential maintenance service requests.
- Perform general carpentry and repairs.
- Repair drywall, patch, texture, and paint.
- Install doors, trim, baseboards, and hardware.
- Replace faucets, toilets, garbage disposals, and plumbing fixtures.
- Install lighting, switches, outlets, ceiling fans, and other basic electrical components.
- Perform flooring repairs and installation as needed.
- Diagnose and repair appliance issues.
- Diagnose maintenance issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Prepare vacant homes for new tenants.
- Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and job sites.
- Document completed work using a smartphone or tablet and company software.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of residential maintenance, remodeling, or construction experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, basic electrical work, flooring and exterior repairs.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
