You will be preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for restaurant guests to enjoy. You are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good, quality food. With previous experience as a cook, you can manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.ResponsibilitiesEnsure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stockEnsure food is stored at the correct temperature by regulating the temperaturePrepping and cutting all steaksCleaning chicken, pounding calami and chickenPortions food products according to standard portion sizes and recipe specificationsMaintains a clean and sanitary work station areaAssists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as neededPerforms other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-dutyQualificationsBe 18 years of agePrevious experience as a line cook preferredAbility to lift 50 lbsAbility to work standing for 8 hours
