Cashier/Busser/Food Runner

Job Summary
As a Hostess& Busser of Pietro's Cucina Italiana, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. You will assist in managing the flow of guests, ensure tables are properly set, and support the dining experience by maintaining a clean and organized dining area. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a team-oriented attitude, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Hostess Duties:

• Greet and welcome guests as they enter the restaurant with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins, assigning guests to appropriate tables based on availability and guest preferences.
• Communicate with both the manager and servers throughout the shift.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide them with menus.
• Answer phone calls, handle reservation inquiries, and provide information about the menu and restaurant services.
• Monitor guest wait times and provide updates to ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized front entrance, lobby, and waiting areas.
• Assist with guest requests and coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of the restaurant’s menu, specials, and promotions to answer guest inquiries effectively.

Busser Duties:

• Assist servers by clearing and resetting tables quickly and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, ensuring tables and chairs are wiped down, and floors are free from debris.
• Restock supplies such as napkins, utensils, condiments, and drinkware.
• Ensure the dining room is always presentable and inviting, with proper lighting, music, and ambiance.
• Assist with food runners by delivering food from the kitchen to guests’ tables as needed.
• Help maintain a clean and sanitary environment, including restrooms and service stations.
• Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure efficient service.

Requirements
- Prior experience in hospitality or restaurant industry preferred
- Basic math comprehension for handling payments and exchanging change
- Familiarity with Clover system is a plus
- Strong guest relations skills with the ability to provide exceptional service

- Availability in the evening hours

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
