Job Title: Production Planner

Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The production planner is responsible for planning and coordinating production and supply activities to ensure on-time delivery, working in close contact with Operations (production, warehousing, purchasing, quality, technical department, etc.)
This role involves managing production schedules, analyzing demand trends, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and optimize material and capacity planning. Continuous maintenance of adequate stock levels and support in managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods are also required.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
• Ensure on-time delivery of all orders produced, analyzing the required capacity and proposing action plans
• Plan and prioritize the production schedule based on customer request dates, available production capacity, and inventory levels
• Use MRP to determine raw material and component requirements
• Proactively identify and mitigate barriers to on-time delivery, such as part shortages, capacity issues, and supplier delays, by proactively proposing action plan
• Prepare the weekly production schedule and shipment file for the warehouse team
• Conduct root cause analyses on delays
• Analyze sales data to identify trends, anticipate demand increases, and develop plans with team leaders in other operational functions
• Coordinate with production and warehouse team leaders to ensure on-time deliveries
• Coordinate with colleagues in Italy to plan new component introductions/transitions, respond to supplier delays, and mitigate material shortages
Required Skills:
• Good knowledge of Excel and MRP systems (CYBERPLAN) , ERP (JdE,Oracle)
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork oriented
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, Risk assessment and mitigation, Analytical skills
• Strong attention to details
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Education and Experience:
• BA or BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Business Administration, or related field of study
• 3-5 years of experience
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen principles preferred
