Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Trained Medication Aide to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for administering medications and providing essential care to residents in our 50 bed skilled nursing home. Your expertise will contribute to the well-being of individuals with various needs.
Duties
- Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to nursing staff.
- Assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and dignity of each resident.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including medication administration records and vital signs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide support in tube feeding, catheter care, and other specialized medical procedures as needed.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations by ensuring the confidentiality of patient information at all times.
- Engage with residents in meaningful ways, fostering a supportive environment that enhances their quality of life.
