Position Overview
Pierson Pet Hospital is seeking a compassionate and motivated Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team in Davison, Michigan.
This opportunity is well suited for a veterinarian who values relationship-based medicine, collaborative teamwork, and a positive workplace culture. Whether you are an experienced DVM or a recent graduate seeking mentorship, you will be supported by an experienced and caring team committed to your success.
Responsibilities
- Perform wellness exams and preventive care.
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions.
- Perform dental procedures, including dental extractions.
- Perform surgeries.
- Utilize and interpret in-house laboratory diagnostics.
- Collaborate with mobile ultrasound services for advanced imaging cases.
- Develop treatment plans and communicate clearly with clients.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
- Educate pet owners on lifelong wellness and preventive medicine.
- Work towards and attain practice productivity standards.
- Prescribes medications in accordance with manufacturer label instructions and uses.
- Understands common side-effects and common drug interactions with other medications.
Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Licensed in the state of Michigan
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for compassionate, high-quality veterinary medicine
