About the Position-

We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking **Dog Groomer** to join our salon team. Our priority is providing excellent grooming services while making sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their visit.

Responsibilities-

  • Perform professional dog grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, breed-specific trims, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other routine grooming services.
  • Handle dogs safely and gently throughout the grooming process.
  • Evaluate each dogs temperament and adjust handling techniques as needed.

  • Work cooperatively with other salon employees and contribute to a friendly, respectful workplace.

What We’re Looking For-

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Patient— Understands that grooming can be stressful for some dogs and never rushes or becomes frustrated with them.
  • Kind & Compassionate — Treats every dog as an individual and handles them with gentleness and respect.
  • Reliable & Responsible — Shows up on time, takes ownership of their work, and can be counted on by the team and our clients.
  • Hardworking — Takes pride in doing quality work and is willing to stay productive throughout the day.
  • Calm Under Pressure — Can remain composed when working with challenging dogs or unexpected situations.
  • Attentive — Pays close attention to the dogs safety, comfort, and grooming needs. *
  • Detail-Oriented— Takes pride in a clean, professional finish and notices the little details that make a difference.
  • A Team Player — Works respectfully with coworkers and is willing to help wherever needed.
  • Professional — Understands that excellent customer service and communication are an important part of the job.
  • Animal-Loving — Most importantly, genuinely enjoys working with dogs and cares about their well-being.

Experience-

Previous professional dog grooming experience is preferred. Grooming certification or formal training is a plus.

We are also willing to consider someone who is newer to professional grooming but demonstrates excellent animal-handling skills, a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the right attitude.

Our Ideal Groomer-

We arent simply looking for someone who can cut hair. **We are looking for someone who cares about the dog underneath the haircut.

A great groomer understands that earning a dogs trust is part of the job. They are patient when a dog is nervous, gentle when a dog is uncomfortable, confident when a dog is difficult, and proud of the quality of their work.

If you are dependable, hardworking, compassionate, and passionate about providing dogs with a safe and positive grooming experience, wed love to hear from you.
