Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to their vehicle concerns to accurately document service needs
- Write detailed service estimates using auto estimating software, clearly explaining necessary repairs and recommended services
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, alignments, tire services, and engine repairs
- Upsell additional services by highlighting benefits related to vehicle safety, performance, and longevity while maintaining transparency and integrity
- Manage cash handling procedures accurately and efficiently during customer transactions
- Track vehicle repair progress and communicate updates to customers proactively
Experience
- Prior dealership experience or automotive service management background preferred
- Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive diagnostics and repairs such as air brakes, shocks & struts, auto body repair, and auto estimating techniques
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, oil changes, alignments, suspension, tire service, brake repair, and engine repair
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally
- Experience With Mitchell Teamworks is required
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes combined with excellent communication skills will ensure success in this role
