Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items following established recipes and food safety standards.
- Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and food handling with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations, seating areas, and equipment.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness.
- Uphold food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry background is highly preferred.
- Proven cashiering skills with familiarity in POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation, serving techniques, and retail math principles.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving correct change, and managing sales transactions.
