What are the responsibilities and job description for the Upholsterer position at Pierre Atelier?
We are an established upholstery company in New Rochelle, looking for a skilled, experienced Upholsterer to join our team. This role involves the high-quality restoration and creation of custom sofas, chairs, and bespoke furniture pieces.
You must be based in New Rochelle or able to commute to our workshop.
Qualities and Responsibilities:
- Experience:Â 3-5 years of minimum experience in professional upholstery (custom work or restoration preferred).
- Proficiency in fabric layout, cutting, sewing, and traditional/modern upholstery.
- Self-motivated and eager to contribute to a growing small business.
- Ability to work with complex patterns, high-end textiles, and precise measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to fine craftsmanship.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work closely with our master furniture maker and foreman.
