What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sous Chef position at Pieri Hospitality?
Seeking a Sous Chef to help lead the opening team at The Garden by Pieri Winery, the newest concept by Chef Will Langlois. The Garden is a restaurant and event space featuring wood-fired pizza, handmade pasta, and seasonal ingredients sourced from our own farm in Bucks County.
This is an opportunity to be part of a restaurant from the ground up, working directly with Chef Will and helping establish the kitchen, team, and standards from day one. There will also be plenty of room to contribute creatively, from seasonal specials to working with the produce coming from our farm.
This role is ideal for a strong line cook ready to step up or a Sous Chef looking for more leadership responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Support daily kitchen operations and lead the team during service
- Work alongside Chef Will Langlois to maintain quality, consistency, and presentation
- Assist with menu development, seasonal specials, and daily features
- Work with fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from our farm
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food cost
- Train and mentor kitchen staff
- Help build the kitchen team and establish standards as we open
Qualifications:
- 2 years of professional kitchen experience; lead line or Sous Chef experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Passion for seasonal, from-scratch cooking
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to be part of building something new
