Pierce's Pitt Bar-B-Que is a family-owned iconic bar-b-que restaurant where we cook pork, chicken, ribs
and brisket over hickory and oak fired pits. We are known for our menu and a casual dining atmosphere
along with the quality ingredients that we use.
We are seeking “passionate about food” team players to join our team. The ideal pitmaster candidate
will have some knowledge of smoking techniques, flavor profiles and the ability to manage a wood fired
pit effectively.
As a key member of our pit crew, you will be responsible for prepping, cooking and saucing our products
while maintaining the standards set for our time-honored recipes.
Shifts are full time and do include weekend work. We rotate balanced schedules. Shifts run from 4 am to
12 noon and 9am to 5pm generally.
We offer competitive wages with starting rate from $17 to $19 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
Working in the meat room with the preparation of raw meats for smoking.
Operating and maintaining wood fired pits with pork, chicken, ribs and brisket.
Chopping, slicing, saucing of cooked products.
Work well in small groups of 2-4 people to complete cooking and finishing processes.
Monitoring and recording cooking times, finished product weights, and any waste.
Organizing and stacking firewood.
Cleaning and sanitizing work areas to include, dishes, pots pans and scrubbing of floors.
Interact with customers that ask questions in the viewing area about how our bar-b-que is
made.
THIS JOB DOES REQUIRE HEAVY LIFTING AND YOU WILL BE AROUND SMOKE.

No prior experience is required but if you have not worked in a Pitt room then we will start you out in kitchen until seen fit for Pitt position. Also please note early morning shifts start at 4 AM.
Available shifts: 4 AM-12 PM, 9AM-5PM
