Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Transactional Associate, based in Virginia Beach, VA, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Transactional Associate will manage and oversee legal work in business matters, corporate transactions, securities and tax compliance, and nonprofit-related legal guidance. Responsibilities include reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, legal research, due diligence, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The individual will also collaborate closely with colleagues and clients to provide high-quality legal support tailored to client needs.
Qualifications
- Experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation
- Proficiency in legal research and analyzing relevant laws and regulations
- Strong understanding of business operations, corporate transactions, and securities compliance
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership
- Proficiency in legal technology tools and strong attention to detail
- Experience in nonprofit or tax law is a plus
- Ability to adapt to a hybrid work environment with both in-office and remote responsibilities

- Base Salary: Competitive partner-level base compensation commensurate with experience and origination.
- Performance Incentive: Annual bonus tied to billable hours, origination, and overall firm growth.
