Position Summary

The Business Development & Client Service Assistant plays a central role in shaping the firm’s client experience, ensuring that every engagement reflects the firm’s values of excellence, warmth, and professionalism.


This position is ideal for someone with a background in hospitality, event management, client relations, or marketing who thrives in a fast-paced professional environment. The successful candidate will assist the firm’s leadership in coordinating business development initiatives, managing client communications, and maintaining the highest standards of service across all firm touchpoints.


Key ResponsibilitiesClient Experience & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients and guests—ensuring a welcoming, polished, and professional experience in all in-person and virtual interactions.
  • Coordinate client communications, follow-ups, and meeting logistics to ensure seamless service throughout every matter.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively identify opportunities to improve the firm’s responsiveness and care.
  • Support attorney teams with correspondence, presentations, and hospitality-level preparation for meetings and events.
Business Development & Marketing Support
  • Assist with planning and executing firm events, client appreciation gatherings, and networking initiatives.
  • Maintain and update client and prospect databases (CRM), ensuring all outreach and follow-ups are tracked accurately.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on content, social media, and digital initiatives that promote the firm’s brand.
  • Support partners with proposal preparation, presentation decks, and professional development initiatives.
Operational & Administrative Excellence
  • Prepare, edit, and format correspondence and documents with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Manage scheduling, travel logistics, and event coordination for attorneys and firm leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client and firm information.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients and ensuring smooth transitions across departments.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; focus in communications, business, marketing, or hospitality preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in hospitality, client relations, or professional services (law, consulting, finance, etc.) preferred.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a “client-first” mindset.
  • High level of organization, discretion, and poise under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and CRM or legal management platforms (e.g., Clio, HubSpot).
  • A professional demeanor consistent with representing a top-tier law firm.


Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: competitive base compensation commensurate with experience
  • Performance Incentive: 10% of base salary paid bi-annually
  • Health Insurance: 100% firm-paid coverage for employee
  • 401(k) Match: 4% firm contribution
  • Travel Allowance: $1,500 annually for professional development, firm events, and conferences
  • Gym Membership: Firm-paid membership at a fitness facility of employee’s choice
